Postpunk/Alter Party: NANANA, Soviet Monday, kisbetüs ünnepnapok

Soviet Monday:
The band represents the post-punk, post-punk/post-Soviet genre: fuzz guitars, pounding rhythms, a scratchy, slightly mechanical sound. Their lyrics touch on themes such as the grayness of Eastern Europe, everyday frustrations, and the realities of young university students—for example, the music video for the song "Techno után" (After Techno) revolves around motifs of university life, the "rat race," partying, and searching for a way out.
NANANA:
NANANA is a post-punk band based in Budapest with roots in eastern Hungary, which builds a world around itself with ethereal vocals, rage,
love, and a search for meaning. Their music is a field of dualities: emotional yet raw, dark yet
liberating. Live, this energy explodes into the audience – their intense concerts tear you away from reality for a moment.
kisbetűsünnepnapok:
Years ago, three classmates from Újpest got together as teenagers to play in a band, and since then they have explored more and more musical territory. Their music, which is mainly based on Hungarian alternative traditions, is influenced by the freedom of the beat era of the 60s and 70s, the subtlety and complexity of jazz and Latin music, and a confusing sense of the 2000s, but they also translate the chaos of our present into their instruments.
